Ruwayda Isaacs
Ruwayda Isaacs
Ruwayda has always been involved in Gymnastics, Aerobics and Athletics at school and club level.
In 2003, Ruwayda started coaching Rhythmic Gymnastics. She subsequently qualified as a Western Province Aerobics and Rhythmic Judge for levels 1, 2 and 3.
Ruwayda is also a qualified endurance coach for Athletics.
Ruwayda was selected as a Judge for the National South African Gymnastics Federation Games in 2006.
In 2007 she joined the Gym Wizards family as a Gymnastics Coach.
She has coached many children during her time with us and the children really love her.
Since joining Gym Wizards she has received her Level 1 First Aid Qualification.

Chrismari Coertzen
Chrismari Coertzern
Chrismari is a qualified Biokenticist, she attend the University of Pretoria where she obtained her BA (Hons) Biokinetics Degree.
She is also a qualified Level 2 first aider as well as a Level 1 female gymnastics coach and level 1 Athletics coach.
Chrismari has been teaching gymnastics for 7 years to children between the ages of 3 and 16, she has also been involved in many outreach programmes for children.
Chrismari joined the Gym Wizards family in 2010.
Chrismari is Head Coach of the Holiday Programmes as well as curriculum development and syllabus planning.
Chrismari is the Head Coach at the following schools:

Kronendal Primary (Fareedah is the coach but Chrismari is the manager)

Derryn Thomas
Derryn Thomas
Derryn started gymnastics at age 9 and was a member of the Springbok team for 9 years. In that time Derryn was national champion twice, gymnast of the year in 1985 and represented South Africa in many international competitions.
She studied at Stellenbosch University and now lives in Fish Hoek with her husband and 4 children. She loves working with children and has coached hundreds of gymnasts during the many years she has been involved in gymnastics.
Derryn is Head Coach for the following venues in Fish Hoek:
St. Margaret’s Anglican Church
Sun Valley Primary School

Kenny Williams
Kenny Williams
Kenny has coached gymnastics for 46 years – from the age of 16!
He qualified as an international judge at the age of 20 and has been judging gymnastics ever since.
He was Province champion for 5 years and made the SA Universities team. In total, Kenny did gymnastics for 26 years and is now involved in distance running. This year he completed his 29th Comrades and 2 Oceans Marathons.

Presently, Kenny is in charge of judging in the Cape Province and Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Technical in Western Province. Kenny is also a qualified athletics coach and official and was in charge of the athletics at Bishops for the last 17 years. He is also a qualified rugby referee and coach and was a member of the referees association for 7 years refereeing both club and school’s rugby.
Kenny is now retired from teaching and, having joined Gym Wizards in 2011, he says he is really enjoying the coaching again.
Kenny coaches at DSK and Hope Street.
Zack Wright
Zack Wright
Zack is a healthy, fun-loving, guy with leadership and team-player qualities.
He loves working with children and is an avid extreme sports enthusiast that loves to be challenged both physically and mentally.
Zack is a Qualified Personal Fitness Trainer and has received his first aid certificate & various other certificates including belaying/climbing, fencing, quad biking + go-karts.
He spent some time in the U.K where he specialised in work with kids who spoke no English/ were disabled/ blind/ A.D.H.D.
- In 2003 Zack become a Personal Fitness Trainer privately & LIFE, health & Fitness gym.
- In 2005 he obtained his Human Bioscience degree at the U.C.T. – [Physiology and Psychology majors.]
- In 2006 he completed his BSc.(Med.Hons.) Exercise Science at the U.C.T.
- In 2007, he became a Lifeline/Childline Counsellor and qualified in Hypnotherapy (relaxation, visualisation, therapeutic imagery etc) & Myosteopractic (a comprehensive body-therapy system combining the principles incorporated in chiropractic & body-stress release modalities).
He has been involved in many projects raising funds for various charities and been on a junior missionary trip to a juvenile detention centre and informal settlements in Worcester
- In 2007 Zack joined the Gym Wizards family and began Coaching Gymnastics.
Zack is the coach at Michael Oak Waldorf School on a Wednesday afternoon.
Kristin Stark
Kristin Stark
Kristin is a qualified Gym Wizards coach and a level one First Aider.
She started Artistic Gymnastics at the age of 4, and changed to Rhythmic Gymnastics at the age of 8.
She was in the Olympic Development program and represented WP for Rhythmic Gymnastics for 6 years.
In 2002 she was WP champion for Group and Individual competition, and also represented WP for Tumbling.
Kristin dances at Rhythm Productions Dance Centre, where she recently completed her Advanced Major Modern Exam (which is the final and most advanced exam in the AIDT modern syllabus) and passed with Honours with Distinction. She is currently studying as an Associate with the AIDT and hopes to obtain her teacher’s qualification in Modern Dance at the end of this year.
In 2010 Kristin joined the Gym Wizards family.

Simone Schelb
Simone Schelb
Simone was born in Germany, she is currently completing her Masters Degree in Micro Finance at the University of Cape Town.
Simone is a qualified Yoga and Gymnastics Instructor as well as a Level 1 First Aider.
Simone joined the Gym Wizards family earlier this year.
She coaches at Hope Street amd the German School, Cape Town.
