Head Coach/Area Co-ordinator
The Head Coach/Area Co-ordinator is a full-time career-level position responsible for the overall performance of the business in his/her designated area.
Typically, the Head Coach/Area Co-ordinator reports directly to the owners of Gym Wizards.
General responsibilities often include: the hiring, managing, supervision and training of staff, teaching classes, managing all day-to-day operations, co-ordinating and implementing holiday programmes, competitions, parent watching days and other projects, ensuring the equipment is maintained, providing outstanding customer service and selling the program to new and existing customers.
She/he is primarily responsible for ensuring that The Gym Wizards program is taught according to the extremely high standards established by Gym Wizards in every class, every day.
Also includes all aspects of running the business including relationship management at schools, with parents and with landlords, pro forma invoicing and liaison with the accounts department to ensure all fees owing to Gym Wizards are paid on time.
In many Gym Wizards locations, a coach is considered either a full-time or a part-time position, and most work very closely with the Head Coach/Area Co-ordinator teaching and leading classes at all levels.
This position is often ideal for after school employment or for university students and others seeking a more flexible work schedule.
A background in working with children is generally preferable, and gymnastics, tumbling or trampoline experience is certainly a must.
Most of all, you must love working with kids.
